If you want to buy a windows laptop, you will have to decide
Dell/HP/SONY……….which one………………..
And then
Windows Vista/Windows XP/………….
And then
LATITUDE/INSIPRON/…….
CONFIGURATION…………………………………………………………………………

Now if you getting a MAC
MACBOOK/MACBOOKPRO..

And the cost difference between them ? for the same hardware configuration 0$

    yep, too many choices !
    my girlfriend just had to go through all that Mac vs PC trauma, she went for a Mac in the End
    and she loves it
    i have a pc myself but at the end of its useful life it will be replaced by a Mac without any doubt
    nicer to use, nicer to look at, just well erm Nicer

    Go for the macbook on intel platform , you get boot camp or parallells , they will run even panther , winxp , vista home cooly .

    Any vendor will do make sure you have plenty of ram , multithreaded apps at your disposal to take advantage of the processing power
